Rachael Ray Versus Martha Stewart
Brick Garbage Bowl from the Rachael Ray is an overrated and hyped up bowl that does not deserve all these attention. Lately, this is much talked about. Take a second to think, why it suddenly become so famous. Simple answer to this is that it is from “Rachael Ray” and nothing more than that. I am sure only those guys who are brand conscious and those who want to flaunt their status might shed $15 plus for a garbage bowl. Since time immemorial our grandmothers and mothers have been using a handy bowl on the countertop for collecting garbage and how different is this Rachael Ray Bowl from those?
I am not a Rachael Ray fan and even if I had been associated to any particular brand, I am not that made to get addicted to any brand and buy trash at exorbitant price for the sake of buying it or showing my loyalty to the brand. May be the ladies can boast in the social circle that they are using Rachael Ray Garbage Bowl and I am sure deep in their heart even those who speak high of this bowl are fuming deep inside. This is yet another plastic like bowl and god knows why it is sold at $15. Why on earth should some one buy a bowl exclusively for holding garbage temporarily at this price when they can use any other used old bowl or cheaper ones that are available for $2.
This is basically made of melamine and that is not a reason to charge so much. Believe me, there are better garbage bowls sold at less than one fourth the price in local stores. I did not buy this and in fact I saw this at one of my friends place. She mistook this bowl to be equipped with some specialized mechanism to control the odor like the garbage bin. She actually bought this mistaking it to be a mini version of the garbage can that comes with deodorizers. Rachael Ray Garbage Bowl is in no way different from the ordinary bowl, except the attractive brick color. This sort of shines and glows in sunlight.
Now that she has bought it, this is used for collecting the vegetable peels, meat remains, paper waste and other remains and dumps it once the work is done. Again you have to put it in the garbage can only but the advantage is that you don't have to dirty the hand every time you open in between the cooking and you also end up saving a lot of time otherwise spending in walking up and down to the bin and countertop. Agreed that a garbage bowl is handy but not at this price.
